Assignment One

In this first assignment, you will be using the skills and knowledge you gained in Modules one and two to:

• Explain the structure and hierarchy of the Court
• Explain the jurisdiction of Justices of the Peace
• Read legal cases, answer questions about them and apply case law
• Find statutes and provisions and interpret them
• Determine elements of offences
• identify aspects of natural justice in given case scenarios.

Assignment one will be emailed to you on the given date. Save the document to your computer so that you can work on it and save the contents. Name it 'assignment one' with your student number.

Your assignment must be your own work entirely. Do not ask your mentor for assistance with answering the questions or to check the quality of your answers.
