Section Two: Managing Proceedings
Introduction
Being in charge of a Courtroom is not unlike being in charge of a household, classroom or business in that you need to keep in mind all the other people and other factors pertinent to this moment even as you speak to a defendant or make a decision.
Even though there are court staff, security staff, lawyers, prosecutors and other agencies at court, all with their own tasks, you are in charge; you have control. Nothing can really happen without the say-so of the bench. This section covers some aspects of running a courtroom.
