Activity 5.2 - Criminal Disclosure Act

Task

  1. Access the Criminal Disclosure Act 2008 on the Legislation website and spend some time exploring it.
  2. In your journal note down five provisions that interest you (are unusual, unexpected or catch your eye for some reason) and write about why you found them interesting.

section 8 meaning of relevant. I was interested that the legislation tries to define 'relevant'. This must be something that lawyers have argued before - someone had some evidence that they did not disclose because they didn't consider it relevant but the other side considered it would have been relevant, but everyone had a different definition of relevant! I wonder how clear this definition is - but then it is hard to think of a better one.
