Activity 5.2 - Criminal Disclosure Act
Task
- Access the Criminal Disclosure Act 2008 on the Legislation website and spend some time exploring it.
- In your journal note down five provisions that interest you (are unusual, unexpected or catch your eye for some reason) and write about why you found them interesting.
Example
section 8 meaning of relevant. I was interested that the legislation tries to define 'relevant'. This must be something that lawyers have argued before - someone had some evidence that they did not disclose because they didn't consider it relevant but the other side considered it would have been relevant, but everyone had a different definition of relevant! I wonder how clear this definition is - but then it is hard to think of a better one.
