Affidavits
Chapter eight of your manual describes the taking of oaths or affirmations for affidavits to be used in court. An affidavit is a statement of facts, the same as a declaration is, but it is sworn on the Bible, or ‘affirmed’ (which is of the same legal strength), and is used as evidence in court.
