Will my documents and details be kept confidential?

You may be assured of confidentiality and discretion.

Justices of the Peace have a warrant of appointment signed by the Governor General having completed a thorough interview and selection process.

They are required to comply with the
Codes of Practice and Privacy Act.

A JP will keep a record of your visit but only in general terms and never record anything specific about your documents.

A JP will visually scan your document - not to see what it contains but to see if there are any rulings or omissions that need to be addressed that might otherwise render the document invalid.
