Object - Section C 1 Constitution:

The primary object of Royal Federation is to promote a high ideal of office and sense of responsibility among Justices, that they may carry out their statutory, judicial and ministerial functions with propriety, and that they may administer the law justly without fear, favour or ill-will in conformity with their judicial oath.

Royal Federation is the national body for 29 regional member associations throughout New Zealand which represent around 7,000 JPs. Through its member associations, Federation gives JPs the skills to effectively serve their communities.

All Justices of the Peace carry out important functions in the administration of documentation and justice in New Zealand.

Appointment as a Justice of the Peace entails more than receiving a title, as Justices of the Peace commit themselves to serve their community for no reward. The services of a JP in New Zealand are provided free.

If you are a Justice of the Peace and have not received your username and password it is probably because we do not have your email address in the database. Please contact us to address this.
